SXSW was great! Thanks to everyone who came out to my showcase. Blender.com wrote a nice review of the show here, calling Car Stereo (Wars) their "discovery of the night."

I'm slowly working on a full length album/mixtape, but in the meantime I spent a couple hours on Sunday putting together a new mash-up. It's Chamillionare's new track "Not a Criminal," with the first big Ratatat song, "Seventeen Years." Hope you enjoy!

Riverboat Gamblers Video

Also, Information Leafblower called Car Stereo (Wars)' "Ghostface Observatory the "#35 Best Song of 2K6" with the following quote:

" - Their "Ghostface Observatory" mashup, which combines Ghostface with Ghostland Observatory, is easily the greatest mashup I've ever heard. It breathes new life into a genre that was steadily growing stale."

An added "shout out" to Luther Robert at PartyEnds.com for naming "Ghostface Observatory" in his "Top Ten of 2006."

This is Halloween!

Adreon and I are putting on a Halloween Carnival at The Beauty Bar tonight, and to prepare I decided to make a holiday mash-up of the theme song from John Carpenter's The Fog mixed with a few other tracks. Also, Adreon messed around with the Susperia theme song and added a live drum track. It sounds like an 80's ballad. Awesome!
