My Love is So Mashed Up

Mash UpDate. I just finished this new track splicing together Justin Timberlake's hot new single, "My Love," with several samples. See if you can guess them all! (hint: CSS, Blondie, Tom Vek, Joy Division and more!)

This is my favorite mash-up so far!

Single Frame Photoset

A month or two ago, I dropped by Adreon's Studio/Garage to take some press photos for Single Frame.
Here are a few of them:

A Christmaka Mash-Up

I love The O.C.
I mean, this show is fantastic. I'm obsessed. First it started as a kind of ironic obsession where I could laugh at myself for watching the O.C...but that quickly escalated to full on genuine addiction.
I'm also pretty fond of Fat Lip, especially the song "What's Up Fatlip," which I was introduced to through the Spike Jonze video.
Anyway, this is my tribute to both of these:

Exquisite Corpse

Exquisite corpse (also known as "exquisite cadaver" or "rotating corpse") is a method by which a collection of words or images are collectively assembled, the result being known as the exquisite corpse or cadavre exquis in French. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence. Each person is only allowed to see the end of what the previous person contributed. (from Wickipedia)

Super!Alright! has undertaken a variation of an Exquisite Corpse operation in which one member will create 10-20 seconds of a music video, and then pass that onto another Super!Alright! member. Erik Horn started off by creating 20 seconds of a music video for excellent Austin band, Tacks the Boy Disaster. Then, I took his themes, ideas and footage and composed the next 15 seconds. The result is below:

From here, J.P. will create the next 10-20 seconds, and so on. Check Super!Alright! for weekly updates.

Welcome to the new Car Stereo (Wars)

I have changed the format of Car Stereo (Wars) to run through Blogger. It's not as fancy as it used to be, but this is just a lot more practical. Now I can easily provide updates like mixtapes, remixes, new photography, new video work, news and really just anything with extreme ease. I'll be posting new work as I complete it.

Thanks a lot,
